This is my first time using JCA Auto and so far they have been great! On Friday they confirmed that my radiator needs to be replaced. I believe they have quoted me a fair price and hopefully this week they will be able to perform the repairs. I do wish that I knew why my radiator would have gone bad after only 2 years! It was just replaced in April 2017! The staff here has been very helpful and attentive!

Avoid this place at all cost! Yesterday we were told by JCA that our ball joint on our 2004 Honda Pilot was broken and needed to be fixed at the cost of $1500! That sounded like way too much money for a repair of a broken ball joint to me so I pressed the owner to describe why the cost was so high. He explained to me that even though only one of my ball joints was broken, that he would like to replace them both for "good measure" and also replace the controller arms that connect to them, and a bunch of other things that were not broken with my car. I asked the owner of JCA if there was anything wrong with anything other than that one ball joint, he told me "no" but still tried to convince me to fix things that we're not broken on my car. My gut feeling was that he was trying to rip me off. So, I went back to JCA and asked for my car back, at which point he charged $55 bucks for the diagnostic, to my surprise! When I got my car back, I took it to Irmo Tires and Automotive. Irmo Tires looked at the ball joints and told me flat out that they did not need to be replaced! That the car was just fine. Irmo tires told me that the noise I was hearing, which is why I took my car to JCA in the first place, was being caused by something completely different. So, now you all know. This establishment will take advantage of your lack of car knowledge. BTW I'm going back into JCA today to demand my $55 diagnostic fee back that I was charged for, especialy for it being completely erroneous! Update: JCA Auto did actually refund the $55 that I was charged for the "diagnostic fee", but only after I went there and asked for it back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
